Exploring My Path in Visual Creative Photography
My name is Michael DeMarco and from the moment I picked up a camera, I was captivated by the art of storytelling through images. Photography quickly became my creative outlet and personal challenge, a skill I was determined to master on my own. I taught myself the technical aspects—focusing on everything from aperture to shutter speed—through a mix of online resources, hands-on experimentation, and inspiration from iconic photographers.
Driven by a mindset that embraces curiosity and exploration, I find inspiration in everyday details, from natural light patterns to vibrant street scenes. This journey has taught me not only to see the world differently but also to capture its stories in ways that speak to the heart.
Experience
With over 8 years of experiencing the capabilities of a camera, I have been drawn to a majority of shooting styles and, in its simplest form, photographing anything that interests me. This has enabled me to branch out and expand my knowledge and curiosity of different scenarios; therefore, not being classified in one mold of photography.
When it comes to my inspiration of what I want to shoot next, I use a plethora of tools to get me there. When it comes to creating an image from the tools of inspiration, I follow a motto and process that I constructed and is the center of this website; “Ideas…Create..Reality.”
Method
Ideas… What tools are your center for inspiration and how can you apply this to making the photo.
Create.. How and what will you need to produce the photo.
Reality. The final product, the story it tells and ultimately the feeling it conveys.
